Short, and honest about what little we collect
Last updated: September 2026.
This site is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no logins, no shopping basket and no comment system, so there is very little for us to collect and we collect correspondingly little.
What is collected
- Standard server logs: the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. These are kept briefly and used to keep the site running and to see which entries get read.
- Anything you put in an email to us: your address and whatever you write. We keep it only as long as the exchange is useful.
- Basic, aggregated traffic measurement, if analytics are enabled. It tells us how many people read a page, not who they are.
What is not collected
No accounts, no profiles, no advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, and no sensitive personal data of any kind. We do not ask for your name, your location or your payment details, because we have nothing to charge you for.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. The only third parties involved are the hosting provider that serves these pages and the font service that delivers the two typefaces; both see request data in the ordinary course of serving a web page.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own. If an analytics tool is in use, it may set one; your browser's settings can block it and nothing on the site will break.
Opting out
You can browse with a tracker blocker, a VPN or private mode and this site will work normally. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, say so at editor@courtofmagic.com and it will be.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
